   This is a set of paintings I made a couple of years ago and forgot to post about. It has been made on handmade paper with black paint. I gifted this to my cousin and his wife for their first Diwali together. These now hang on their drawing room wall.

A wedding gift

Hi friends,     So my cousin was getting married and I had promised her a warli frame as a wedding gift. And I completely forgot about till about 3 days before the wedding. I went and bought the materials on Wednesday night,cut it into the desired size. Friday all day was spent on completing it.I gave it for getting it framed that evening. My other cousin collected it from the store on Saturday evening. And I gifted it to my cousin sister on Sunday!!!!!! I've realised I love doing jobs when I'm pressed for time. It helps me focus and gets my creative juices flowing. I didn't use a compass to draw the circles and used a ruler only to draw the margins.     She loved it as did the rest of my family. And her husband is going to put it up on the drawing room wall of their new home. There is a different type of happiness in gifting your near and dear ones something handmade and customised. Hello, Harshika is one of my closest friend's beautiful daughter.She is the first kid in our circle of friends and is loved and adored by all.This quilled monogram was her 2nd birthday gift.I could not make it to her birthday party but her mom graciously forgave me when she saw what I had made for her daughter :)  Everything has been made from 3mm strips.The base is the lid of a box made for holding teeth sets{used in dentures}.So a bit of reuse and recycling there.
