My first quilled nameplate

Image
Hi all,   After looking (ogling more like it) at the beautiful quilled monograms and nameplates on the internet ,I decided to make one for my cousin sister when she was shifting cities(also because I didn't know what other gift to get her).  So here it is.The first quilled nameplate I made.It measures 6*9 inches and has been made with 3 mm paper strips. My favorite part are the small flowers. She loved it as did her husband. Hope you all like it too. Avanti

Quilled Card 2

Image
Hello, This is a card I made last year for my dear dear sister's birthday.Started about an hour before I was supposed to meet her and finished bang on time.Sadly the card was damaged by a rodent at her workplace just a few months later. This is the only picture I took before giving it to her. Everything has been made with 3mm paper strips on black cardstock. Until next time, Avanti

Hello,    This is a simple card I made for a friend for her birthday. And she loved it so much, she bought a quilling kit the very next day.    Everything has been made using 3mm quilling strips on off-white cardstock. Criticism and constructive criticism is welcome. Until next time, Avanti

Harshu

Hello, Harshika is one of my closest friend's beautiful daughter. She is the first kid in our circle of friends and is loved and adored by all. This quilled monogram was her 2nd birthday gift.I could not make it to her birthday party but her mom graciously forgave me when she saw what I had made for her daughter :)  Everything has been made from 3mm strips. The base is the lid of a box made for holding teeth sets{used in dentures}.So a bit of reuse and recycling there. Constructive criticism and suggestions are welcome. Until next time, Avanti....

White and Gold

Image
Hello,  I love the appearance of flowers made using the quilling comb and wanted to try it myself. So I made a few flowers and petals and then used them to embelish a photo frame I had made earlier. The design looked good but did not have that nice finished look.So out came the glitter bottle to give a few finishing touches and this is the end result. All elements were made using 3 mm wide strips. Constructive criticism and suggestions are welcome. Until next time, Avanti....
